My Inspiration
My work explores quiet moments of transformation — where beauty, uncertainty, and hope coexist. This is represented through abstract realism.
Through softened forms, restrained symbolism, and atmospheric color, I create paintings that feel suspended in time. Florals, light, and water often appear as poetic elements that invite reflection rather than explanation.
My goal is to create art that feels calm yet powerful — work that allows viewers to pause, connect emotionally, and find beauty within life’s in-between moments.
My Process
I tend to start my paintings by making a huge mess with inks and other water-based materials like crayons. This allows me to paint while connecting to my inner-child. After this stage, I also experiment with texture pastes, and/or collage. Then, I move into acrylics and finish the piece with oils to bring true depth into the piece.
Why I Paint
Art saved me as a child. It gave me somewhere to go when life felt heavy. For years, I circled around painting - collecting supplies I never used, building skills in graphite and charcoal, waiting. When I lost my dad, something shifted. The paints I’d held onto for 15 years suddenly made sense. This was always the path. He gave me the gift of returning to it. Now I paint transformation. Because I’ve lived it.
